Re: Breeding announcement
Just a quick update! Everyting is fine here, just a bit hectic as work started again and with a busy schedule so not much time for the forum. We are at the campsite every weekend and both dogs love that. They get along very well and are even playing together!
One of the puppies is still looking for a forever home, the rest of them are doing brilliantly at their new homes. They are quick with the toilet training so that is a bonus and have all settled.

Oh yes he responds well to his name. The breeder already started calling him by his name as I knew it when he was 4 weeks so that went very well. He is a totaly different character that his daddy, more feisty (?) and challanging my authority more but that is all part of the fun! He loves Javari's long hair and moustache but I am not too keen on it as I like to keep it long and we're off to a show in two weeks. To say he is keepin me on my toes is an understatement! LOL Going to puppyclass with him since the first week, this is a special class for pups of 9 weeks and older who have had their two shots and he loves that too! It is a pre-class for show training which usually starts at 4 months and in this pre-class it is all about socialising and getting to know strange sounds, strange dogs and different flooring and people touching etc etc..... Tonight another class, looking forward to it!
Re: Breeding announcement
It sounds like Kiran is enjoying himself and learning very quickly which is great. He sounds like the typical pup to me, into everything and getting up to plenty of mischief. Javari will soon put him in his place though as he gets bigger. I remember Lesley saying that Isabella used to swing on Joshs moustache when she was a pup (and knowing her, she probably still does!).
I think we should adopt the last puppy as a forum pup. Who else is up for it? We could all take turns at having him stay for a few weeks and share his growing up between us. I am sure Carol and Lesley would agree!

Re: Breeding announcement
Famke is in The Netherlands Elaine, so unless you fancy a really long trip to collect the pup I think this one is out I am afraid.

When we were in the car park getting the girls out to take them through the woodland walk at the National Trust the other day, the car next to us were getting their dog out and commented on ours and how nice and snug with their hammock they were . I said to the lady it is worse then when I had three children to get these out of the car and I am wanting another, she said what three? !! oh yes why not I said . Hubby said NO WAY very firmly ,the lady said that sounded like a very definate statement. Mind you I did see another yesterday free to good home from someone who had bred the dog, and after 6 years the owners had a change in circumstances and had to part with it. I know of the breeder and probably Lesley knows them personally as they used to show their dogs too and are quite near to her I think. I did try the boss again but NO came back the answer. Another one would have a lovely life here, a lovely home with plenty of outdoor space, home all day and lots of lovely outings, and above all still plenty of love to go round all three.
Re: Breeding announcement
I can understand the temptation, they are such pretty and sweet dogs. I had a friend come over to see Daisy today and right away she wanted to buy one! She's never had the slightest inclination to buy a labrador but was smitten with this breed. Then I told her how much they cost to buy as puppies and I think that made her think again. I did suggest a rescue dog but quite honestly it seems that in many cases the criteria for rescue dogs is so strict that I doubt my friend would get one which is a shame as I know she would be a great dog owner.

Re: Breeding announcement
I think your hubby is a right meanie Carol and you can tell him that from me! If you had three children, why can't you have three dogs, one for each child? I know they are grown up now, but the principle still applies!
It is such a pity that some places have such high criteria for adoption. I know they have to be sensible, but if someone isn't allowed to rehome a dog, they can still go out and buy a pup with no checks whatsoever. That is one of the reasons you get unscrupulous breeders, who don't care for their pups. They know there is a willing market ready for them.

Aaahh Sue one problem hubby and I haven't got children together. he has never had children and he was an only deprived child,or so he says-deprived that is. he is sat here laughing while I write this.

Absolutely right sujay. After we bought Daisy I spoke to someone who rehomes this breed and was told if I had contacted them about a rescue dog I would have been refused outright on the grounds that I live on a main road and that I also have another dog. I actually think both of those reasons should be assessed on the individual circumstances.

Kiran looks like he is enjoying learning about the outside world. He is a stunning looking pup, watch it or Lesley will be over to puppynap him.
Glad to hear all the pups have now found their forever homes.
