The pet shop I got them from only orders every 3 weeks.....useful! So I wasnt quite aware how quickly these nuggets go. I will check with the other pet shop tomorrow as they order every week.

Natures Menu replied and attached their retail pricelist and the Banquet Nuggets said £2.60 per bag and £4.25 P&P which is a lot more to pay than I am at present ie £2.30 a bag. The P&P seems different too Victoria. How many bags did you have to order to have their minimum of £60?

Aren't there any webshops in the UK which deliver petfood (frozen or kibble) at home? Here in Holland we have quite a few who store all brands you can imagine (complete frozen fresh food heaven with complete fresh meals with duck, chicken, beef, lamb, horse, deer, goat etc etc). The deliver it at home and you pay with your debitcard on delivery.

Thats sounds good!

I just did a quick order for 3x 1kg bags of nuggets and box of 8 pouches for Pip. I didnt realise it was £60 minimum.

Just to look at prices no order was placed.

I thought they had taken the £60 minimum off now - have a good look around the site! You are still gong to have to pay postage - webshops the same.

I still think local pet shops are a better bet. I think nearly all of them have a delivery from Anglian Pet Foods even if they don't have the nuggets as mine didn't they usually have the freeflow minces and the frozen blocks from them!!

Help......my partner has told me Roo and Rox stink after having food! lol!

I was hoping he would not notice.

Would it be worse having the mini bites with the nuggets? Thou Carol says it doesnt smell too bad.

diet help please - Page 3 993702 just when I was getting on so well with them.

Pip is still on the pouches and mini bites and she has a different smell.

I don't think it smells that much - I would not say it stank and it is only on their breath for a little while - and at least they won't have rotting teeth bad breath!! (which btw does stink)

I still think you are over doing the thawing of it - then it will smell xxxxx

Sorry you are having this problem with the Nuggets Victoria. They are the Banquet Nuggets in a blue & grey bag? my two don't have bad breath with the Mini Bites and Nuggets. I am not sure about thawing them too much as I don't like my girls having to eat them too cold , but maybe Lesley will be able to guide me on this.

Have done a 'smell test' on Mali & Tash and they don't have a smelly breath. I am not so keen on the nuggets when they are thawed but they don't seem to be affected by them.

If you leave them out for several hours at this time of the year the meat starts to turn - become very soft with lots of liquid.... that is what I mean by over thawed Carol Very Happy

I have, after the over thawing, started putting them in the fridge in a pot the night before. They are still quite cold etc when I get them out the next day.

I usually cut them in two but I never mash them YUK - is that what you are doing?? If so that could be why they smell. Also at the moment since it has been warm I have been defrosting them in the microwave rather than leaving them out to defrost so they are only just thawed.

Hehe mash it up lol!!! I have been chopping it in half since my last post -smell isn't as bad! My partner will have to stop smelling them when they just had their dinner.

PS I am increasing the nuggets and decreasing the mini bites. I am nearly needing a new bag of mini bites or do I go all nuggets!!!

I take out what they need for the next meal ie I've put tomorows brekky into a small tupperware Oyster and they willl thaw in the fridge over night and in the morning I will take them out about half an hour before they want to eat and then mash them with a knife or a fork into the slightly soaked Mini Bites. That way I find they are how they like them.

I meant to mention that I went into PAH today and looked at how much they were selling the Banquet Nuggets for,and I was astonished they were £3.09 a bag. I ve been paying £2.30 and I think Victoria was getting them at £2.17 from Anglian Meats. What a rip off they are.

...or even when the freezers are working properly!! Whenever I have bought from PAH there is almost a bag of ice and teh dogs won't eat them!!

Don't mash them Victoria and go all nuggets Very Happy You don't even need to chop in half...just I prefer to give mine that way as Josh has a habit of picking up the full nuggets and carrying them onto the carpet before eating them lmao
