Recently got a bundle of fun called Alfie, now almost 10 weeks old, he loves biting feet, and fingers, any suggestiions on how to stop this ? But we would also welcome any tips/suggestions on how to toilet train him ?

Look forward to hearing from you all.
    Maz.

Hi and welcome to the forum - looking forward to getting to know you adn seeing some photos of your new baby. Good advice from loulou regarding the biting - it is part of them growing and learning and they need to know how much or little pressure is acceptable (ie they need to learn their teeth are sharp and hurt us) having said that he is still a wee baby who would be playing this way with his brothers and sisters so I use a glove puppet to protect my hands and have some playfight time with my puppies. There are some threads on here about this and also a video somewhere of me playfighting with Josh and wolfie (the toy).
As for toilet triaing - here is the link to the relevant section:

:hi: Maz and welcome to the forum. Congratulations about your new fur baby. You are in for some fun and games as Alfie grows up, but shih tzu are adorable balls of fun. As for the biting the advice from loulou and simbalove is the best you can get, use a glove puppet so you can playfight with Alfie. Also the quick high pitched squeal from you and ignoring him for a bit works as well. He is still only a tiny baby learning about the world around him, and what is acceptable behaviour and what isn't.

As for toilet training that will take a while, but have a look at the thread mentioned and you will get some tips. The best one is patience and consistency though, then one day you will realise you have done it and Alfie is housetrained.
