Hello, I am Lissy
Hello everyone,
My name is Alicia-Mae, but everyone calls me Lisy. I am two and a half years old and have just become the proud Mummy to Charlie, a nine week old Shih Tzu from Friends of the Animals. Charlie is a very special dog, he has no tail because he has Spina Bifida. Lesley asked me to write to you and tell you about him, as some of you know about him.
He was called Colin, but the name Charlie is much better, as he is very, very cheeky. He is a little bundle of fluff, but with an attitude. Mummy and Mam-Ma (grandma) say that's all we need, two littles with attitudes. Mam-Ma says he should be called Branston, cause all he does is pickle!!!!
I spent all my spending money on lots of toys for him, he has chews and a kong to help his teeth, a teddy to sleep with and balls to chase. I have asked Father Christmas to bring him a new teddy bear, but only if he is good.
We take Mummy to the train station every morning, so she can go to work to make more penny's. Charlie comes with us, he sits very well and likes to try to look out of the window, when we stop, he climbs up onto my knee for a cuddle. He is doing really well with his puppy pads and sleeps really well in his crate at night.
He has had his second injection and at the vets the other day he was invited to attend a puppy party on Saturday. He will meet knew friends and hopefully, they will help me to teach him to walk on his lead. He can already sit, unless Mam-Ma tells him, then he just bites her finger.
Mummy has taken some lovely pictures of both of us and will let you see them at the weekend
Hope he behaves at the party !!!!
Love and KIsses

Hello lissy how lovely to hear about Colin/Charlie.....I love the new name .Its nice to know he has found a forever home with you, you sound like lovely people and you are going to have a lot of fun with him. I will look forward to seeing some photo's of him as he grows up and you will all enjoy the puppy party on saturday....though when I took my dog Tuppence to hers when she was 9 weeks old she stayed the whole time under my chair and refused to come out and play.

Hello Lissy and welcome to our forum! I am so pleased you have come to tell us about you and your new friend Charlie. All our members thought Charlie was lovely when they saw his picture on the Friends of the Animals website.
When I took my Josh to a puppy party he was absolutely terrified the first time and hid under the chair away from all the big nasty puppies like bounding german shepherd dogs and giddy rottweilers. I almost didn't take him to his second one.... but I did because I knew how important it was to meet other doggies.
At the second puppy party Josh became a real thug and made sure that all those BIG puppies knew who was the BOSS!!
I am looking forward to see the photos your mummy has taken and I am looking forward to hear what santa brings you both,
Lots of love from Lesley, and Josh and Isabella send lots of licky kisses xxxxx

Re: Hello, I am Lissy
Hello Lissy. It sounds like you are going to be very good friends with Charlie. I think your Mummy and Mam-Ma might be right, two little pickles together. Ask them if they remember what they were like when they were small, mischief is fun, especially when you have a four legged friend to share it with! I hope you both enjoy your puppy party together, it sounds like it will be fun.
And tell Mummy to take lots of photos of you together, because it won't be long before both you and Charlie grow up, and you want lots of reminders of the fun you have.

Re: Hello, I am Lissy
Charlie has grown so much in a week, we had to expand his harness, I should have called him Fatty LOL, he has just fallen asleep watching Harry Potter, whilst licking Mam-Ma's feet
